Cumulative placements from the week ending 6 January through 28 December 2024 were 9.84 billion, up 2 percent from the same period a year earlier.Broiler production is estimated to end 2024 at 47.18 billion pounds, up 1.7 percent from 2023, and forecast to increase 0.6 percent to 47.5 billion pounds in 2025.
