The president signed the omnibus spending bill today after a brief veto threat over the lack of a legislative provision for the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and funding for his proposed border wall. The administration and congressional Democrats were trying to structure a deal to accommodate both, but neither fix was ultimately in the legislation. The bill was passed in the House yesterday (256-167) and in the Senate today (65-32) before it was sent to President Trump, who said he’d never sign another omnibus of that size.
