U.S. Senator Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) says he doesn't believe next week's election will have much impact on the farm bill debate and the legislation's course remains uncertain. Still, an overwhelming number responded to WPI's recent poll (see graph below) by saying the most likely future policy change is a larger cut in farm subsidies.As crops are being planted for the 2012/13 marketing year, estimates for current production in China and prospective production in Brazil and Argentina are being cut.
