Russian Grain Markets: 8-12 October 2012 Harvesting Updates The Russian Ministry of Agriculture on 12 October updated its total grain harvest forecast for 2012 to 71.1 MMT, up 0.1 MMT from Ag Minister Nikolai Fedorov's estimate earlier in the week. Export Updates Russia is unlikely to supply more than 12 MMT of grains to world markets in MY 2012/13, according to Pavel Skurikhin, president of Russia's Grain Producers' Union, at the third Ukrainian Grain Congress on 16 October. Skurikhin said that the country supplied 8.1 MMT of grains to foreign markets since the beginning of MY 2012/13 and export activity has since slowed.
