Russian Grain Markets: 25-29 January 2021 Prices generally decreased in the Russian domestic grain market. This trend was expected as 15 February, the date of the first imposition of the wheat export duties (€25/MT), is fast approaching. The market is currently experiencing an export boom with more than 3.3 MMT of wheat exported in January alone. This trend is likely to continue into the first two weeks of February. Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment.
