It shows beef in cold storage up one percent over last month and down four percent over last year. The growth has been in boneless beef stocks which are up 12 percent, while beef cuts – which consist mostly of primals - are down 35.5 percent. As would be expected, boxed beef prices are up this month which is partly seasonal.Overall red meat was down three percent from last month and down slightly from last year based on a reduction of pork of four percent from last month and one percent from last year.
