Oilseeds Soymeal Inventories Down Sharply at End of February A significant increase in feed demand at the end of February pushed China’s estimated nationwide soymeal inventory down to 751,900 MT as of 2 March, a decrease of 186,900 MT (-19.9 percent) from the previous week. It then had a small correction last week as the average live pig price continued to drop (see below). The inventory rose 44,000 MT (+6.22 percent) to reach 707,900 MT as of 9 March, driven mainly by the 39,500 MT (+9.86 percent) jump in the East to 440,000 MT.
