Livestock Live Hog Price Continues Run, White Feather Broilers Rebound China’s national average live hog price continued its steady climb to close out May with an uptick of RMB .11/kg ($.007/lb.) or .7 percent. The continued run has lessened the average loss per live hog by another RMB 10/head ($1.50/head) or 29.4 percent. With the average domestic corn price dropping last week, the corn-hog ratio on a cash basis rose to 5.46.
