Livestock MARA Assures Market Has Ample Hog Supply, Warns of Excess On October 28, China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) stated that current figures for reproductive sows, live hogs, and piglets have grown steadily. Based on surveys covering the past five months, dating back to May, the overall hog inventory has seen a strong build up and as such, live hog output is expected to meet the holiday demand here in December and through the Lunar New Year.
