China to launch new legislation on green food label China's Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) recently revised the 1993 version of the Measures for the Administration of Green Food Signs. The measures will strive for stricter regulation of China's food companies that are using or applying for green food labels. The new measures will increase the sampling rates to 30 percent of food companies that have already been granted green food labels. The products for which a green food label is applied are required to meet certain conditions relating to the use of pesticides and fertilizers, as well as packaging, storage and transportation requirements.
