This morning we happened to peruse the "Money & Investing" section of today's The Wall Street Journal. We do not do this every day since we do not have much in the way of money or investments. However, we did so today, and we were struck by how many of the articles in this section have to do with derivatives -- directly or indirectly. The lead article on the front page of this section has to do with money transfers during the frantic last days at MF Global before it sank into bankruptcy on 31 October.
