While the majority of market participants seem to know that crop conditions are rather subjective and statistically insignificant in relation to the final yields at this point, there also seems to be a general understanding that persistent declines in those ratings can turn into a trend.The composite of good to excellent ratings for corn, soybeans and winter wheat all declined by 2 percent today. Spring wheat was a notable exception because its average condition improved by 1 percent from a week ago.
