Recently, WPI reported on the Subcommittee on Commodity Exchanges, Energy, and Credit hearing about the timeline for the required volume obligations (RVOs) from EPA. We noted that Growth Energy, a biofuel trade association, informed EPA via a 2 November letter of its intent to file suit if EPA didn’t issue the RVO within 60 days of the letter. Since that update, EPA announced it would be delaying the compliance dates under the RFS, largely as a consequence of delayed RVO announcements past and present. On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment.
