China readily out-consumes the rest of the world in poultry eggs and Taiwan is reportedly having problems affordably sourcing all the eggs being sought. Global egg consumption is expanding along with population and as a low-cost protein, its demand is relatively inelastic. The pandemic shifted consumption from HRI to retail and the home, but it did not hurt demand.
