The pandemic shifted consumption from HRI to retail and the home, but it did not hurt demand. One problem was a slowing in production in Q4 2021 for the world’s second largest producer, the U.S. At the same time, U.S. egg exports in 2021 grew by nearly 3 percent above year ago levels.
