The 2022 mid-term Congressional elections are three weeks from today. There is a lot of prognostication about the potential outcome, more and more of it predicting a change in party control of the House of Representatives. The current 50/50 split Senate is expected to come down to the wire; the Democrats could get outright control no longer having to rely on the tie-breaking vote of Vice President Harris, or the Republicans could win a majority. WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment.
