The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee (EPW) will hold a confirmation hearing tomorrow for Andrew Wheeler, nominated last week by President Trump to be the EPA administrator. He has been the acting in that position  since July and is the former deputy administrator. Wheeler was a staffer for Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) when he was chairman of the EPW Committee and then became a lobbyist for the coal industry. He will face substantial opposition over climate change issues, and a number of environmental groups have urged the Senate to not confirm him during the government shutdown.
