Ethanol stocks have hit a record high, while production is still exceeding 1 million barrels/day despite the seasonal slowdown.Ethanol production dropped slightly last week to 1.019 million barrels/day, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). It was the lowest total in 19 weeks and off about 25,000 barrels/day from the previous week. However, it was the 23rd straight week that production exceeded 1 million barrels/day and also 4.5 percent higher than the same week a year ago.
