Regional News  Russia’s weather remains warmer-than-normal for the next week. While no concerns currently exist for the crop (other than the impacts of late planting and early dryness), the warm temperatures mean a lack of snow cover that could increase winterkill if a cold snap develops.  Ukraine’s grain exports are down 18 percent year-over-year at 27.6 MMT. That figure includes 12.75 MMT of wheat, 10.5 MMT of corn, and 3.9 MMT of barley.  The International Grains Council increased its forecast of the 2020/21 world wheat crop by 3 MMT due to higher production in Australia, Russia, and Canada. On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant.
