Farm Bill Markup: The U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee will markup its version of a farm bill (similar to the one passed last year) next Tuesday and the following day the House Agriculture Committee will markup a farm bill version similar to the one it approved last year -- and just like last year, that is where the similarities stop. The House version will cut spending by 50 percent more than the Senate, and half the cuts will come from the food stamp program.
