The Senate had no votes on the farm bill Monday night. Because Tuesdays are the day of traditional party caucus meetings and the Senate was in recess for the party confabs, not much progress was made in terms of voting on amendments. However, some action was reported. There are 34 amendments filed at this point. The "box score" is as follows.Nutrition and crop insurance will be the biggest areas of debate and controversy.
