The Senate Agriculture Committee will begin its markup of the 2013 Farm Bill tomorrow, and the House Agriculture Committee is likely to follow suit on Wednesday, 14 May. Both Committees released their draft proposals last Friday (see WPI 10 May). There are 106 amendments filed for the farm bill markup, of which nearly two dozen are placeholders for second degree amendments. Some of the amendments of interest include the following:
