AMLO has pledged to ban GMO corn in 2024, he has already begun phasing out glyphosate, and he has stalled approval on 19 new GMO traits. The agriculture industry in the U.S. and Canadian, and larger parts of the industry in Mexico are warning of large adverse impacts from the policy shift.
