In terms of global exports of vegoils, sunoil exports have always been a much smaller than exports of soyoil and palm oil. However, that seems to be changing as a result of the expansion of sunseed production and processing in the Ukraine and Russia. Global exports of sunoil have increased from about 3.5 MMT in 2007/08 to a forecasted 5.93 MMT in 2011/12 with most of the increase coming from Russia and the Ukraine. Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment.
