Food Grain Production Down, Rainfall Deficit at 7.6 Percent The government of India (GOI) last week released its first 2012/13 crop and grain production estimates for the October harvest. Grain production is expected at 117.18 MMT, lower than last year's (2011/12) fourth estimate of 129.94 MMT, with a differential of 9.82 percent.
