Economy Stalled Due to Slow Domestic Demand CRISIL, the global analytical company, has reduced the 2013/14 GDP growth estimate to 4.8 percent from the 5.5 percent estimated in June 2013. One of the major factors attributed to the slow economic growth is the lagging development of domestic demand for goods and services. A recent study by CRISIL indicated that demand slowdown and the collapse of the investment cycle would severely dent the infrastructure, capital goods, automobile and real estate sectors.
