Slumping Corn Prices, but No Export Feasibility Huge corn arrivals in the market yard have led to a seasonal slump in prices, which is a seasonal trend. Maharashtra has produced at higher crop, and Jalgaon (JLG) is a good market. Corn prices at the market yard are close to $182/MT, below the 2017/18 Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs.14,250/MT ($220/MT). In other locations such as NIzamabad (NZM) in Telangana, the arrivals have ended. Prices are higher there at $210/MT as late rains have also caused some damage. A few farmers are willing to bring stocks from Maharashtra to trade in Nizamabad for a better price.
