The House of Representatives is preparing for the farm bill to come to the floor for debate next Wednesday. The House Rules Committee is meeting on Monday, 17 June to issue a rule on amendments. Any potential amendments must be turned in to the Committee before its meeting convenes at 5 p.m. EDT.The version of the bill that hits the floor will have some updates. The Agriculture Committee exempted the Dairy Market Stabilization Program (DMSP) from the normal rulemaking process, but the Judiciary Committee -- which has jurisdiction -- amended the farm bill.
