They worry about food security, the impact of the war in Ukraine, and they want to help developing countries. They even came up with a separate list of “Miyazaki Actions” that call for “diversifying supply chains by exploring ways to enhance local, regional and global food systems.” Somehow, they left out interstellar food systems. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment.
