The projected 2015 net returns per acre, even though still negative for spring wheat and corn and barely positive for soybeans, are far better than they were when futures were at their lows back on 1 October.Crop budget worksheets will be an issue again as farmers start to take a closer look at what they might plant in 2015. The worksheets are simply profit/loss projections per acre of the various crop alternatives, and the university extension services do a great job of providing these tools to producers. All farmers have to do is punch in their own actual numbers and look at the bottom line.
