Another step toward making E15 a reality has been made. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved the model misfueling mitigation plan (MMP) submitted by the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) as step for companies to develop their own MMPs. While the RFA model is a generic template that companies can submit as a plan with regard to product labeling and traceability system for mid-range blends, individual companies must also add their own specifics on a survey of compliance at fuel retailers that will meet the specific requirements EPA sets out for such compliance.
