CBOT trade was two-sided with an active morning fading into lackluster volume by afternoon. Wheat and soybean slipped lower while corn finished higher as funds covered a small part of their short position. It seems the markets are increasingly on-hold waiting for clarity on weather around the world. Corn futures and European/Black Sea wheat values continue to rally, but enthusiasm for higher prices is flagging.
