Grain and soy markets slumbered through the overnight session with the October WASDE two days away. There was little movement in wheat and corn prices, and soybeans traded mostly lower in limited volume. Market watchers generally expect the WASDE to show a slight increase in the corn and soybean yields and production. An adjustment to planted acres based on Farm Service Agency data is possible, but it is likely to be small. The day session was just about as quiet with limited noncommercial positioning ahead of the Thursday report. Soybeans drifted lower and closed that way with November down 6.75 cents.
