Post-Thanksgiving Day trade at the CBOT/CME featured the expected light volume but some unexpected fund buying in grains. The first notice day for December futures brought no deliveries against corn or wheat futures. There were, however, 319 soymeal deliveries and 226 soyoil tenders. The lack of corn/wheat delivered spurred fund buying from the open and a lack of sell-side interest allowed wheat to post double-digit gains and corn to finish nearly 8 cents higher.  The weekly Export Sales report was – as it has been this entire marketing year – bearish corn, bullish soybeans, and neutral wheat.
