General Comments Red was the color du jour for grain and soy markets today. This was after the overnight session saw wheat and soy prices trade higher and corn recover some of Monday's losses. Even the soybean market gave in to some profit taking, but not until it had scored the highest price since 13 September 2011 on the continuous chart. Wheat reversed after three days of gains on improving HRW conditions and forecasts of more beneficial precipitation for U.S. winter wheat. Eastern portions of the EU also received some rain although France remains dry.Clearly, the market is nervous about Friday's stocks and acreage reports from USDA.
