General Comments The CME Group today announced its intention to launch a Black Sea milling wheat futures contract with trading to begin on 6 June subject to regulatory approval. This move will fulfill an agreement reached between the CME and Ukrainian authorities almost a year ago. The contract will be traded entirely on the Globex electronic platform. Contracts will be traded in U.S. dollars, with each contract to be 136 MT or approximately 5,000 bu to match the existing CME wheat contract. The contract will be physically settled by deliveries at Russian, Ukrainian and Romanian ports on the Black Sea.
