General Comments The world's financial markets were miserable overnight and today with sharp losses posted everywhere. The French election coupled with the resignation of the Dutch cabinet left more doubts about the EU's ability to handle the eurozone debt problems. Then news broke that Wal-Mart is being investigated for bribery in Mexico, and that stock was down 5-6 percent. There was also poor economic news from China. Crude oil was sharply lower the first half of the session but slowly recovered some of the losses as the day wore on.
