General Comments Grain and oilseed markets were firm in the Sunday evening session until Europe came to work with another dose of financial worries. That sent financial markets lower and commodities followed. We opened corn, wheat and soybeans lower this morning and traded lower most of the first hour before November soybeans turned higher and slowly dragged the other markets along. It was a very quiet trading session until the last 15 minutes or so when November soybeans moved to double-digit gains. That move eventually ignited buying in old crop soybeans, and that buying spilled over into the corn market. It was an interesting close with soybeans on a dead run higher followed by corn.
