General Comments Grain and soy futures markets generally tapered down today to end a choppy up-and-down week with spurts of heavy trading volume interspersed with periods when volume levels were quite low. Our impression is that it was another wild week. However, looking back at this week's actual price action, this week does not particularly stand out. For example, soybean futures traded in a range of about 65 cents this week, which is only a couple of cents more than last week's range. Corn futures traded in roughly a 35-cent range this week, which is actually well below their 42- to 44-cent range last week.
