General Comments Markets were firm overnight and this morning in extremely light Christmas Eve trading. In fact, trade volume was much lighter than expected, with less than 10,000 contracts of nearby corn and soybean contracts trading by 9:00 a.m. That is hardly worth opening for. Markets closed at noon today and will not open until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.There wasn't much news to talk about and there were even fewer people around to listen or pay attention to the news. It was a repeat of what we've been reading and hearing for the past few weeks.
