General Comments A pretty good way to describe today's grain and soy futures market is simply to point out that corn futures prices traded in a 21- to 25-cent range and that soybean futures traded in about a 31-cent price range. Of course, we should complete the picture by pointing out that those wide trading ranges took corn and soybean prices in opposite directions. Soybeans gained 19-22.5 cents, but corn prices slipped 6-8 cents lower. We should also note that both corn and soybean futures traded their wide price ranges on both sides of the previous closes.
