General Comments The ongoing dispute between the EU and GFS weather models was tempered overnight when the latest EU model run shifted from its previous hotter, drier outlook for the U.S. Midwest to one that is more in line with the cooler, wetter one projected by the GFS model. Both models now shift the high pressure ridge westward and lower its intensity. This will allow an outbreak of showers by Friday that should continue intermittently over the Midwest nearly every day next week and into August.
