General Comments Markets opened stronger than expected Sunday evening led by soybeans that started out 10 to 15 cents higher. Soybeans quite quickly moved to gains of 20 cents with wheat and corn 8-10 cents higher and that's where they sat the rest of the night. It was (again) all about weather. The forecasts look hot and dry in the western Corn Belt and just dry across much of the eastern Corn Belt. Weekend rains were basically non-existent. This weather will quickly add stress to corn and soybeans across the northern half of the western Corn Belt.The Pro Farmer crop tour also started this morning and the very early returns were about as expected.
