General Comments Export grain inspections for the week ending 29 August were strong for wheat and corn, but soybean inspections were slim. Wheat's volume continues to reflect the early brisk pace of export sales, and corn's volume shows the impact of the availability of the southern corn harvest. The small volume of soybean export inspections reflects tight supplies and limited open old crop sales. There are only two days of corn and soybean inspections left to report for the 2012/13 crop year which ended 31 August.
