General Comments In the absence of any fresh market moving inputs, grain and soy markets seemed to be in a consolidative mood today. Corn futures traded on both sides before giving in to the continued strength of the wheat market and closing slightly higher. Soybeans were under pressure again from long liquidation. Unlike yesterday, however, influence from the higher wheat market seemed to have little effect on the direction of soy prices. Next Monday's quarterly stocks report and the 11 October WASDE with updated production estimates are the next items on the calendar, and we doubt that markets will do anything dramatic until after those reports.Of course, the one major factor overhanging the market is the U.S. corn and soybean harves...
