Wheat had a great deal of bullish news today, which started with the Kansas crop tour results. General Comments Markets were slightly higher in quiet overnight trade following yesterday's weak closes. The exception was wheat with KC showing good strength at the close of the night session and then reaching new highs early in today's trading. Wheat was again strong on poor crop production estimates, more dry and hot weather across the Southern Plains as well as the exchange of gunfire in Ukraine and the downing of two of the country's military helicopters overnight.
