Grains seemed neglected during the overnight session as witnessed by a very light trading volume. After a slow and mixed start, the day session saw more trading interest, which is to say, more selling interest. Wheat led the way south with corn tagging along. General Comments The May contracts expired quietly at noon (CDT) today. Virtually all of the positions in the May contracts for grains, soybeans and soy products were already closed out yesterday, leaving only a minor amount of open interest remaining to be liquidated today. May corn began today with the largest remaining open interest, and it was only 357 contracts.
