Any bullish impact from USDA's higher 2014/15 soybean export estimate and lower soybean carryout was swept away by Conab's forecast that Brazil's soybean crop would reach a record 95.8 MMT. General Comments As expected, USDA's December WASDE, while interesting as always, offered very little by way of fresh direction for grain and soy markets. The only surprise (and a minor one at that) was that estimated U.S. soybean exports for 2014/15 were raised 40 million bushels. An increase more like 20-25 million bushels had been expected.
