The soy complex had a day of very wide trading ranges on good (not big) volume. Corn futures had a 6 cent trading range and closed in the middle, down 3-4 cents. General Comments Markets opened down again Sunday evening. Last week's Commitment of Traders report showed that funds were still holding larger long positions in corn and soybeans than expected. This sent a signal that we still aren't low enough. The weather outlook for the U.S. is also not threatening through the first half of August and probably beyond that.
