Grain/oilseed and livestock markets are currently headed in diverging directions – with commodities involving plants and tractors falling while commodities eating said plants rallying sharply. Soybeans were the downside leader at the CBOT after the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange said the Argentine crop is doing fine and raised its forecast of the year’s production. Argentina was also responsible for declines in wheat as the country is now approved to export wheat to China. Bearishness in wheat and soybeans pulled corn lower, as did upward revisions to the Argentine crop estimate.
