After hitting new contract lows in corn and wheat again today, there was a turnaround led by wheat. However, without any change in the underlying fundamentals, it is difficult to call it new support. Since last Friday’s January WASDE report, March corn is down 13.75 cents, March soybeans have lost 23 cents, and March SRW is 18.25 cents lower. 

There remain some hiccups in the transportation sector. Little can be done about lower water levels for the Panama Canal, but Egypt should be supporting U.S. and UK efforts against the Houthis. Cairo receives 10 percent or more of the government’s revenues from Suez operations, and they are down 40 percent due to war risk.  The weekly USDA Export Sales report will be released...
